Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Robinia Posts

Our wooden robinia posts are made from Robinia pseudoacacia — commonly known as robinia or acacia. This wood species is extremely durable and belongs to natural durability class 1/2. Its unique internal compounds work together to give robinia exceptional resistance, making it ideal for outdoor use without any chemical treatment. As such, it’s an excellent ecological alternative to tropical hardwoods.

Naturae’s Tip

Robinia, like tropical hardwood, is a very dense and hard wood. We recommend pre-drilling holes before inserting fasteners or screws.

Features and Dimensions of Our Robinia Posts

Naturae’s robinia posts are machine-debarked, pointed, and untreated. The debarking process preserves their natural shape, meaning the posts are not always perfectly straight. Compared to chestnut, robinia posts have greater natural curvature—up to approximately 3 cm per meter—giving them a more rustic and organic look.

We only offer freshly cut posts, which we store in dry conditions. Outdoors, robinia develops a dark grey patina over time, which pairs beautifully with oak and chestnut.
